![]() Now, I'm not saying this will resolve your particular issue, because it may be due to a number of factors, but it certainly resolved mine. I white-listed both of these files in BitDefender and, ran the launcher again, let it detect settings, clicked Play and I was straight into the game. My antivirus program was blocking both FalloutNV.exe and FalloutNVLauncher.exe from accessing the game folder under my User settings. I did, finally, find a solution, and I slapped myself for overlooking it. ![]() Which made no sense to me, because I had these games running under Steam without issue on this same PC with Windows 10. ini files were not write-protected, ticking the 'Windowed Mode' box, changing to various resolutions, and even contemplated downloading some mods as suggested on various forums. I had exactly this same issue, and I tried everything from 'Running as Administrator', to compatibility settings, checking that the. ![]() Not even 'Run as Administrator' will work. If you keep clicking play it with reload the launcher another 3-5 times until even clicking the FalloutNVLauncher.exe or FalloutNV.exe doesn't do anything.
